Chef Space: Interactive Learning in the Kitchen
This project is a continuation of the Sifteo Cube Project, where we were asked to flesh out a compelling story about a new way to control a familiar device, system, or service. In this assignment, the technologies were not limited to using Sifteo Cubes and even more futuristic. The challenge was to look at a whole user experience and make the overall story exhibit consistency, simplicity, and elegance.
Expanding on the interactive behaviors established in the Sifteo Recipe Box, I wanted to change the platform to a kitchen island, the place in the kitchen where people come together the most. Integrating the instructional tools into the kitchen counter allows a deeper level of learning and interaction, establishing good cooking practices while engraining important lessons and techniques into the learning process by encouraging participation.
